Do you want to write or record your personal stories but never seem to find the time? Have you been wishing a parent or relative would write their family stories down so they aren't lost in time? Are you looking for just the right gift for someone who already seems to have it all? We help people save their personal and family stories for future generations, a great gift for yourself or anyone whose stories you'd like to help save.

We conduct in-person or online interviews, record them, and transcribe them into a document, which you can choose to format into a story, article or book.

We will come to your site in or around Salem, Oregon, or can record stories by audio or video chat from other locations. 

You may choose to do your own editing and formatting or add our editing and formatting services.

We charge only $75 per session, including in-person visit, up to 60 minutes of recording, and full transcription and basic editing of the recordings (which adds about an aditional 60 minutes of time). During each session, we get about 3-4 pages of stories (8.5 x 11" pages) or about 30-40 pages after 10 sessions. 

$350 for 5 sessions or $700 for 10 sessions.

We love to work with people on the stories and memories they want to save. With a background in library science, an understanding of and passion for family archives and important stories and some effective technology tools, your stories will be saved forever (in print, not just "in the cloud".) We can use family photos, suggestions from children or other relatives about stories they have heard and would love to have preserved in writing, or our own life-story prompts and questions to encourage storytelling during our interviews.

We are more than happy to group several people's interviews in one location (such as a retirement community). Ask us about "group discounts" for several successive interviews in the same place on the same day.

We are VERY STRICT about privacy and security. We use only encrypted recording and transcription software and never share personal information with anyone else but the client unless instructed to do so. Don't hesitate to ask about our digital privacy policies and the secure ways we can share recordings and text files with you.
